Back in the summer of 2018, during my business studies semester, I embarked on an epic fundraising tour that would take me along the German border from the Emsland, down to Regensburg, then off to Prague, and finally straight to Berlin.

- Dates: July 14, 2018 – August 4, 2018
- Total Distance: 2,218 km
- Elevation Gain: 11,500 meters
- Total Cycling Days: 21
- Longest Single Day: 228 km (11 hours, 46 minutes; 1,072 meters elevation)
- Hottest Temperature: 30-33°C
- Wildest Ride: 278 km from Regensburg to Prague, with only 3 hours of sleep
- Heart Rate Peak: 204 bpm at 3 a.m.
- Beer Consumed in Prague (Straight): 8 half-liter beers

It lasted a solid 10 days, included a healthy amount of beer, and involved conquering an insane number of hills—11,500 meters of elevation to be exact! In total, I covered 21 days of cycling, smashing out 2,218 km, with the longest day being 228 km in a grueling 11 hours and 46 minutes (and 1,072 meters of climbing thrown in for fun).
The reward? An e-piano for charity!

But the wildest part? That 278 km ride from Regensburg to Prague. I had this genius idea of biking straight through the night, but when my heart rate hit 204 bpm at 3 a.m., I decided to stop before I spontaneously combusted. After 3 hours of ‘sleep’ in my tent, I jumped back on the bike at 6 a.m. and rolled into Prague… barely. I almost fell off the bike at one point! But hey, it all worked out in the end, and to celebrate (or maybe to forget?), I treated myself to 8 half-liters of Czech beer. Cheers to that!

The tour ran from July 14 to August 4, and let me tell you, it was one scorching summer, with temperatures sitting at a sweaty 30-33°C. Most nights, I stayed with friends and kind-hearted locals, though sometimes I camped out in a tent—keeping it adventurous, of course.
